Kharkiv is gradually switching to a decentralised heating system

As Igor Gorishnyi, CFO of Municipal Enterprise Kharkiv Heating Networks, said in an interview with Objective magazine, the war has forced a new approach to providing heat to residential buildings and social facilities.

‘We are installing modular boiler houses and cogeneration units to reduce the load and make the service cheaper. We have received a lot of equipment from USAID, including equipment for energy decentralisation. We have not yet finished this heating season, but we are already starting to prepare for the next one. In the summer, we will take further steps to decentralise the heating system,’ he said.
