Water quality control has been strengthened in Kharkiv

Specialists of the sanitary and epidemiological control laboratories of «Kharkivvodokanal» have stepped up water quality checks.
This was announced today, 14 February, by Andrey Starodubov, head of the laboratory for sanitary and epidemiological control of water quality at «Kharkivvodokanal». According to him, despite the fact that the recent leakage of oil products into Kharkiv rivers did not affect the proper quality of tap water, the company has strengthened control over laboratory tests.
«According to their results, the water supplied to the homes of Kharkiv residents meets all sanitary and hygienic standards. However, in case of possible deviations from the standards, we have developed a set of operational measures to stabilise the situation», - said Andrey Starodubov.
In her turn, Elena Maksimova, Head of the Microbiology Department, said that 30 water samples are taken daily at the control points (clean water storage tanks, water supply stations, water dispensers) and analysed according to 50 indicators. Since the environmental disaster in Kharkiv, all parameters have remained normal.
