Cogeneration equipment arrives in Kharkiv

Kharkiv utilities are preparing to install two 70 kW cogeneration units.

This is the first batch of equipment to be delivered as part of the Memorandum of Understanding between the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and Kharkiv District Heating Company.

The cogeneration units have already been delivered to the installation site. In the event of a blackout, they will be able to provide uninterrupted heat and water supply to more than 2,000 residents.

Two more such units will be delivered to Kharkiv in the near future.

‘We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Germany and the German Society for International Cooperation for the humanitarian assistance provided in such a difficult time,’ said Kharkiv District Heating Company.
