Kharkiv and Poznan are going to have a common New Year celebration

The deputy of the mayor of Kharkiv on the issues of development and maintenance of the city life Igor Terekhov had a meeting with a delegation of the twin-city Poznan headed by Poznan vice-president Slavomir Hints.


Igor Terekhov told the guests about Kharkiv preparing to EURO-2-12 Championship on football. “Our airport reconstruction is completed, now we are finishing works at the air strip. Hotels are built and reconstructed. Plenty of roads are reconstructed globally. And the whole city becomes more comfortable and beautiful: parks, squares, all the units of infrastructure. We are going to have the biggest fan-zone during the championship. I am absolutely sure that Kharkiv will be completely ready for the final part of EURO-2012. I think this tournament will unite our cities even more closely”, - the deputy of the mayor noticed.
In his turn vice-president of Poznan Slavomir Hints informed that their city was also ready for the championship. There is a lot of in common in our cities in preparing to EURO-2012. Om one hand, our stadiums are ready. On the other hand, our roads are dug out and this creates bunchings in the streets. But this problem will be solved”, - the vice-president of Poznan noticed.
The parties also discussed a New-Year project which would be made on the 31st of December. “It’s going to be a very special year, because it is a year of EURO-2012. It will be a stage on a square in Poznan, where a lot of citizens will come to celebrate the New Year. We have made a deal to produce promo clips about our cities. There will be also read congratulations from Gennady Kernes and the mayor of Poznan Rishard Grobelny. These clips will be shown on the squares of Kharkiv and Poznan at midnight”, - Slavomir Hints told.
Ht also informed that the Polish delegation also discussed common projects of Kharkiv and Poznan which would be realized in future. In particular these are projects on EURO-2012 volunteers exchange, experience exchange in education area between usual and music schools, and economical projects too.
