Honourable consulate of Germany opened in Kharkiv

 

Tatiana Gavrish was appointed as a honorary consul of Germany in Kharkiv.

 

Oleksandr Novak, Kharkiv town clerk; Andrij Mochenkov, vice-chairman of Kharkiv regional state administration; representatives of diplomatic mission; heads of Kharkiv universities.

 

«The opening of Honourable consulate of German Federal Republic in Kharkiv is an important event as our city has longstanding fruitable cooperation with Germany. Largely due to our active partnerships Kharkiv city has become a prizewinner of the highest honorary award of the Council of Europe that is awarded for the weighty contribution into development of the European collaboration. I am convinced that with the opening of Honourable consulate of Germany in Kharkiv the new part of our relations begins and it will allow to implement many attractive projects», - Oleksandr Novak emphasized.

 

In a speech of response honorary consul of Germany in Kharkiv Tatiana Gavrish emphasized that  a lot of common Ukrainian-Geraman projects are being implemented in the city including educational sphere. There are also a lot of offices of Small and Medium Enterprises of Germany.

 

«Today it is very important day for both Germany and Kharkiv, personally for me and my team. I hope our cooperation will be profitable and will show results, especially it concerns development of economic relations between German and Kharkiv region companies. Also cultural interaction  is very important as it can bring nations together and contribute into development of democracy and human rights protection in Ukraine», - Tatiana Gavrish noted.

 

In the course of the ceremony consul general of Germany in Donetsk Klaus Zillikens informed that the work over the opening of the visa application center in Kharkiv is being held. For now there are centers only in Lviv, Donetsk and Odessa.
