The monument against AIDS was opened in Kharkiv

 

Sergij Dmitirev, the director of Kharkiv regional  branch of the All-Ukrainian Charitable Organization “All-Ukrainian Network of People Living with HIV”noted that the monument is called “Live”. It is made in the shape of street lamp with red crosses as a symbol of tolerant attitude towards HIV positive people. 

 

“Along with the head doctor we announced a competition among young architects. We received 5 or 6 works. We chose the best project that suited the idea of the monument”, - Sergij Dmitirev emphasized.
