The number of deaths of newborns has reduced

 

The director of Kharkiv regional perinatal center, Irina Kondratova, informed about it during the training course for mass media representatives.

 

She noted that due to the optimal conditions that were created for doctor’s work and for the stay of female patients in the center it became possible to achieve high rates of survival of low-birth-weight newborns and provide sufficient help to women with pathology.

 

«We have organized permanent operation of perinatal consultation. Twice a week we gather all the gynaecologists, anesthetist, doctors of our center, engage highly specialized doctor to discuss the management of patients and newborns. If doctors diagnose pathology and direct a woman to us in proper time – most cases have positive results », -  Irina Kondratova informed.
