New year reception of diplomats was held in Kharkiv

 

Igor Terekhov,  the deputy mayor in questions of development and maintenance of the city opened the reception. He welcomed all the attendees on behalf of the mayor Gennady Kernes.

 

"There is a tradition to sum up the results and recall all the good things at the end of the year. It was a year of stable development for Kharkiv. UEFA Euro 2012 was the main international event of the outgoing year for us. And the appreciation we received as the hosting city of the championship is a great merit of all the citizens and all the present in this room. The signing of three treaties between twin-cities of Maribor, Tbilisi, and Genoa became the second important event for the intrenational image of Kharkiv. We are very proud that now Kharkiv has 25 twin-cities. Many high-profile events happened this year. And we are very grateful that many of these events were held with your participation and support,"- Igor Terekhov marked.
