Works on restarting the power supply system in Kharkiv are underway

Specialised services are working to restart the power supply system in Kharkiv.
This was announced today, 11 April, by Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
According to him, in the morning, the enemy inflicted serious damage to the City's energy infrastructure. Due to the power outage, subway trains were temporarily suspended. At the same time, Kharkiv managed to launch certain tram and trolleybus routes. Municipal buses are also running in the City.
"Today, the power system that supplies Kharkiv was severely damaged. That is why our utilities are working with power engineers to restart the power supply system. This is not to say that there is no power in the whole City. But there are difficulties. There is a critical shortage of voltage in the power grids to ensure sustainable power supply to the entire City," said Ihor Terekhov.
He also noted that the housing stock was damaged as a result of hostile attacks. Utilities are currently working to repair the damage, including closing the circuits and inspecting roofs for damage.
In addition, the Mayor thanked for the help that is coming to Kharkiv from other cities of Ukraine these days.
"In particular, today we received help from Zakarpattia. And I am very grateful for this support. All cities and regions have united to help us in these difficult times," said Ihor Terekhov.
