Three more underground schools to be built in Kharkiv

Three more underground schools are planned to be built in Kharkiv by the beginning of the new school year.
This was reported to journalists by Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
The Mayor noted that the construction of such schools is planned in all districts of Kharkiv. Currently, the city authorities are considering Novobavarskyi, Kholodnohirskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts for construction In addition, the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration (KhRMA) is designing one underground school with a subvention from the state budget.
«I want three more underground schools to appear in Kharkiv by the start of the new school year. In any case, we are working on it», - said Ihor Terekhov.
According to him, the first underground school was built in the Industrial District. The implementation of this project cost the city budget UAH 58.8 million. At first, the school was equipped with equipment from schools that are not yet operational due to the war. In the future, USAID will provide new equipment (computers, interactive whiteboards, etc.) free of charge.
