In Kharkiv, two metro stations and about 370 toponyms are to be renamed

The meeting of the City Commission on Toponymy and Protection Of the Historical and Cultural Environment was held today, April 26, in Kharkiv.
It was conducted by the First Deputy Mayor of Kharkiv Oleksandr Novak.
According to the results of the public discussion, the members of the commission supported proposals to rename a number of streets, the names of which are associated with the aggressor country, in particular, Aeroflotska Street to be called Antonova Street, Bakunina Street to Bahataya Street, Vasnetsova Street to Vsevoloda Nestaika Street, Sybirska Street to Poliska Street, and Krasnoyarskyi Lane – Yuryi Voronoi Lane (in honour of the Ukrainian surgeon who performed the first kidney transplantation in the world).
In total, the renaming of 367 toponyms was considered. The full list can be found at the link .
The members of the commission also supported the proposal to rename two metro stations: "Pushkinska" – to "Yaroslava Mudroho", and "Pivdennyi vokzal" – to "Vokzalna".
