”In December of the last year on the city council session the deputies approved the Program of the capital reconstruction of the objects of the green economy of Kharkiv, miniparks and parks on 2011. According to the task of the mayor of Kharkiv Gennadiy Kernes and members of the executive committee of the city council Kotsubinsky minipark was included into this plan of landscaping, - the director of the Department of the housing maintenance and utilities Victor Kitanin commented to journalists, - A great amount of works have been fulfilled because of the reason that there are a lot of communications located in the historical part of the city where the minipark is situated. And the main part, as a result of our cooperation with the Department of city building and architecture we managed to recreate the historical sight of this place. In particular the fontain is reconstructed with usage of bevel granite slabs. Now the minipark looks in the same way as it looked in the 30^-s of the last century

According to the information of the director of the department a lot of work have been done on renovating the monument to Mjkhail Kotsubinsky. It was covered with special building materials owing to which the kharkovites will enjoy this monument for a long time.
The territory of the minipark was paved with pavement tiles, the benches for the rest of kharkovites, trash bins were set. There were also set the lightening: 8 existing supports were reconstructed and 10 new supports with vintage lights were set. During the reconstruction all the plants in the minipark were kept safely.
