The procedure of adoption of Ukrainian children by foreigners has become easier

 

Svitlana Gorbunova-Ruban, the deputy mayor in social- and healthcare questions informed about it on January, 17.

 

She emphasized that legislation in adoption of children by foreign residents hasn’t changed. However, along with the ratification of Convention on protection of children in Ukraine, it was decided to amend the procedure itself. “Speaking on the simplification we have to keep in mind the changes that will be abolished by mediate business entities. This means it will exclude commerce out of the process of adoption by foreigners,” - Svitlana Gorbunova-Ruban noted.

 

The deputy mayor marked that Kharkiv has the experience of adoption of the children by foreign residents, including Italy and USA. According to Svitlana Gorbunova-Ruban, consulates watch the adopted children abroad.
