The experience of Kharkiv in rendering of help to handicapped children will be expanded on international level

 

It became known on the meeting of the representatives of charity fund «The Institute of early intervention», Kharkiv city council with the delegation of United Nations Children's Fund that came to Kharkiv on September, 20.

 

In particular, according to Ann Kukuruza, the director of the Center of early intervention, from May 2012 the center and United Nations Children's Fund implement common project. From one side it’ll help help to develop the sphere of early intervention in Kharkiv, and from another side, it’ll represent the experience of of Kharkiv in other European countries.

 

Ann Kukuruza informed that currently Municipal Polyclinics develop the sphere of early intervention. Experts who are involved in this sphere undergo the training course. In the nearest future the textbook according to this problem will be issued. It will allow parents of children with health problems to get essential information. Besides, there will be created the group that will consist of the representatives of the city council, Kharkiv region state administration and civic organizations that will deal with problems of these sphere.According to Sonia Ruiz Brushwing, the chief delegate, international delegation noticed Kharkiv because the city has achieved success in a lot of social projects and in social services.

 

«We know you pay a great attention to handicapped people. It is very important for these people to know how and where they are able to get social services. We came to meet with people who implement social projects in your city. We are aimed at further cooperation. We like that your social organizations and city council deals with a subject together», - Sonia Ruiz Brushwing emphasized.

 

In her turn, Svitlana Gorbunova-Ruban, the deputy mayor in health and social care questions,  informed that Kharkiv is opened for cooperation in any social sphere and told about all the range of services and social projects that are being developed in the city today.

 

«We are ready to cooperate but not for the commendation but for the direction in further help for our citizens», -  Svitlana Gorbunova-Ruban noted.
