The 5th Parade of Brides took place in Kharkiv

 

The opening of the ceremony was attended by the Mayor Deputy in Family, Youth and Sports questions – Oleksandr Popov, the Mayor Deputy in Family, Youth and Sports questions attended the opening ceremony of the event and congratulated youth with the holiday.

 

«Today we celebrate the Youth Day. As a tradition, the Parade of Brides is held on this day and each lady who participates in it is a flower of this holiday», - noted Oleksandr Popov.

 

He stressed that the Parade of Brides is an annual event which aims to increase public value of family, marriage, wifedom and motherhood and to strengthen the desire of every woman to become a bride, wife, mother, be beautiful and desirable.
 

This year's event was attended by 50 ladies who walked through the city center in wedding dresses. Participants of the parade were divided into five groups according to their image: «white swan»,  «movie star», «flower fay», «out of grandmother’s coffer» and «dare devilry». They were dancing and competing on the main alley of Shevchenko garden. Contests of stylists, the defile of their models, photo shooting, and performance of Kharkiv musical bands were held in the course of Parade.
