The first underground school in Ukraine is getting ready to open
The first underground school in Ukraine, which was built in the Industriyalnyi district, will start teaching in the current academic year.
According to the Department of Education, the school is equipped with 20 full-fledged classrooms, a canteen area, a first-aid post, etc. Students in grades 1-11 will study there.
«This year, more than 600 pupils are ready to sit down at the desks, the vast majority of whom are primary school students, which meets the current demand of parents. The classes will be held in two shifts. Children will also receive free meals», - the department said.
They also said that the formation of classes for the next academic year is nearing completion. Two institutions have been designated as the basis for enrolment: gymnasium No. 88, which accepts children in grades 1-9, and lyceum No. 80, which accepts students in grades 10-11.
