The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the new boundaries of Kharkiv

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the new boundaries of Kharkiv on September, 6.


In particular, to new borders of the city were included 4450.58 hectares and excluded 52.32 hectares. Thus, the total area of Kharkiv will be 35002.26 hectares.

13 township and village councils partially transfer their land to Kharkiv. The largest number of land transfers Kharkiv Kulinichy village council – 2602.49 hectares, Ponomarenkovsky village council transfers 809.02 hectares, Cherkasy-Lozova village council – 238.91 hectares.

244 deputies voted for the Act № 11178 «On changes and determination of Kharkiv, Kharkiv and Dergachi townships of Kharkiv region».

«This is one of the historic decisions of the parliament of this calling. With this decision we can open the way to many other cities of Ukraine in setting new boundaries, "- the deputy Valery Pisarenko said during a speech at the plenary session.
