Kharkiv children with oncology diseases will go for rehabilitation to Austria

12 children with leukemia who passed treatment in Kharkiv city hospital №16 will go to Austria for rehabilitation next year.

 
Svitlana Gorbunova-Ruban, deputy mayor in social- and healthcare questions informed about it on October, 31.
 
She noted that this become known after the visit of the representatives of Austrian organization «Global-2000». Kharkiv has been cooperating with the organization more than 15 years and this organization finance the sanitation of Kharkiv children with oncohematological diseases in Austria. These children passed the treatment in hospital №16 and disease is in the process of remission. Each year Kharkiv children are sent for treatment to Austria.
 
In addition to this the organization will provide Kharkiv hospitals with surgical bed, medical furniture, bedding, medical equipment and supplies for expensive laboratory engineering that were previously donated.
 
«The organization expressed gratitude and fulfillment for how we use their help. We should also note that a number of children who went to Austria last year experienced health improvements. We hope for our further cooperation with the organization», - Svitlana Gorbunova-Ruban emphasized.
 
For 15 years of cooperation with «Global-2000» 283 children underwent the rehabilitation. 
 
Note. «Global-2000» is Austrian nongovernmental ecology organization that exists on the sponsorship of the opponents of nuclear power plants. First of all they help children who suffered in a result of Chernobyl disaster and children with oncology diseases.
