Kharkiv was included into the ten most «cultural» cities of Ukraine

 

Yalta took first place in the rating list. The city topped the rating due to nine museums, four cinemas, two theatres and more than 250 cultural monuments, extended  education and  leisure infrastructure having rather small population number.

 

The second and third place took Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv with their rich architectural heritage. Kiev took the 11th place. 

 

The preliminary rating list includes all the region centers of Ukraine, health resort and tourist centers, major industrial cities and seaport towns, Kiev satellite town and boroughs for maintainance of nuclear power stations. The preliminary list included 73 in total. The most «cultural» cities were defined according to the number of grades on the following criteria: education at university level, museums, theatres, cinemas, monuments, book shops and festivals.
