In Kharkiv, the duration of blackouts is tried to be reduced
Specialists are actively working to reduce the duration of power outages for Kharkiv residents.
Mayor Ihor Terekhov announced this today, April 20, on the air of the national telethon.
According to him, the situation with electricity supply in Kharkiv remains difficult.
"The schedules were revised in the direction of increasing the duration of blackouts because there is not enough voltage. In addition, there are certain difficulties with the equipment. But, according to the energy experts, they are gradually adjusting this process, and the previous schedules will be returned," the Mayor said.
Despite the problems with electricity supply, Ihor Terekhov said, City electric transport is fully operational in Kharkiv. So, the day before, all trams and trolleybuses were on the routes. In addition, there is a subway (trains run every 20 minutes).
The Mayor also said that the explosion that was heard in the City this afternoon was the result of the work of the Air Defense Forces. So, the Ukrainian military shot down an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle.
