Ihor Terekhov held talks with the French ambassador

A meeting between the Mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov, and the French Ambassador in Ukraine, Gaël Veyssière, took place today, February 26, in Kharkiv.
The parties discussed cooperation in the fields of economics, education, and culture, as well as the ongoing support of Ukraine by French partners. In particular, Ihor Terekhov reiterated the importance of protecting the sky over Kharkiv. Additionally, the Mayor shared plans for the City's development, which continue to be implemented despite the ongoing war.
"Today, we face many challenges, but at the same time, there are many opportunities. We are interested in attracting investors, and we are not stopping anything. Together with our international partners and banks, we are not putting any project on hold and are implementing them even during the war. This includes the construction of the metro, the procurement of rolling stock, and the purchase of electric buses. We want to develop the construction industry, embrace modern technologies, and foster creative industries. We have all the possibilities for this and want to work, including with French entrepreneurs," - emphasized Ihor Terekhov.
In turn, Gaël Veyssière noted that France understands the importance of providing comprehensive assistance to Ukraine. Today, in Paris, at the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron, a conference in support of Ukraine is taking place, with the participation of around 20 European leaders.
"Many countries are contributing to this aid. Everyone is doing what they can. In particular, France has provided its SAMP-T and Crotale anti-aircraft defense systems. However, everything provided is still not enough, and there is a constant need for even greater support for Ukraine," - stated the ambassador.
Additionally, Gaël Veyssière proposed organizing a joint cultural event in Kharkiv.
