Today, on 24 December, Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov took part in the Christmas service at the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
After the prayer, the mayor congratulated the audience on the bright holiday of Christmas.
"Today we all pray first of all for our military. We thank them for being able to celebrate Christmas at home. We thank God that our city has survived and that we can live and work in glorious Kharkiv. And we all believe that a just peace will soon come to Ukraine. I congratulate everyone on the holiday!" - said Igor Terekhov.
The service was also attended by the Apostolic Nuncio to Ukraine, Archbishop Visvaldas Kulbokas and Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, who also visited Kharkiv in 2022 and 2023.
