Hot line will operate for the children from troubled families

It is planned to introduce hotlines to support children who are in a difficult family situation.

Svitlana Gorbunova-Ruban, the deputy mayor in health- and social care informed about it during the joint session of Kharkiv Regional State Administration and the Kharkiv regional council on November, 29.

According to the deputy mayor, little attention is given to children whose parents are divorced or are going to divorce. Therefore, in the future, it is planned to introduce hotline that would benefit not only the children, but also other members of the family who have problems, or even to their neighbors.

Also, Svitlana Gorbunova-Ruban said that Kharkiv studies Swedish experience of so-called foster families where children are temporarily raised by adoptive parents. Meanwhile social workers and doctors work with biological family.

In addition, the deputy mayor offered to attract people who have omaintenance arrears to community service.
