The guests of UEFA EURO 2012 referred for volunteer help about 20 thousand times

 

The head of youth and family department informed about it.

 

He reminded that 1200 volunteers work on 12 UEFA EURO 2012 objects. The objects are the fan-zone, metro stations, municipal public transport, train station, airport and 21 information centres of the city.

 

«Mostly volunteers explained how to get to the place, helped with technical and general questions, like the loss of the passport. Volunteers had laptops, access to the Internet and mobile phones. If it was needful volunteers were able to contact the embassy or consulate», - told the director.

 

There were also 67 foreign volunteers working in the city from 10 countries. They helped guests in fan-zone. 
 

The head of department noted that despite the matches in Kharkiv are over volunteers of the host city will continue their work till the official closure of the tournament.
