Gennadiy Kernes: The adoption of «language» law is in a benefit for Kharkiv citizens

 

On July, 10 Kharkiv city mayor Gennadiy Kernes reported about it.

 

He specified that the decision to direct an address to the president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to support the law on «About the bases of state language policy» is carried in interests of each Kharkiv citizen.

 

«We can't be against Russian language. I am in a favor of Russian language, we ask to sign this law. We will continue consecutive defence of territorial community interests», - Gennadiy Kernes emphasized.

 

He also added that this law will create comfortable conditions for all the ethnic groups  living in Ukraine mainly in Kharkiv.
 

 

Besides, according to the mayor, city council receives a lot of letters in support of the law. Mainly the document is supported by the staff of Kharkiv enterprises. Currently tens of thousands of subscriptions are compiled and sent to Kiev.
