Gennady Kernes: Kharkiv welcomed guests of UEFA EURO 2012 properly

 

The Mayor of Kharkiv stated it on the session of Kharkiv city counsil.

 

He noted that the atmosphere that prevailed during the match in Kharkiv showed it, as well as positive feedback from the Dutch, who were in the majority in the city among the fans.

 

Gennady Kernes read a thank you letter which was published on the website of the Association of Dutch fans. The representatives of the Dutch fans thanked Kharkiv and its people for a decent organization and warm welcome.

 

«UEFA EURO 2012 is not over. The fan-zone still operates. And we will increase all the achievements we have gained and will prepare to European Basketball championship 2015», - emphasized the Mayor.

 

Also, Gennady Kernes said that the city learned a lot during the preparation and staging of the tournament. In particular, the Mayor is pleased with the work of public services and is willing to esteem their work at 4 with plus. «I don't put the top five as all our work should be still improved», - said Gennady Kernes.

 

He also thanked the Government of Ukraine, President Viktor Yanukovych, the public services, deputy corps, executive authorities and Kharkiv citizens for assistance in preparing and staging  of the football championship.
