Gennadiy Kernes: The city continues its development even upon the UEFA EURO 2012 final

 

The city mayor Gennadiy Kernes stated it after the special session of Kharkiv city council.

 

According to his words despite doubter’s expectations the city continues to develop even after the ending of UEFA EURO 2012.

 

«Some thought that Kharkiv develops only before the EURO-2012 but the championship is long over  and we still continue renovation of the city. Mainly, we rebuild roads regardless of some difficulties with bitum and hot weather. We have certain project and we will strive to fulfill the tasks we have set. Kharkiv citizens are to be confident in tomorrow and that Kharkiv is being developed for them», - city mayor assured.

 

Gennadiy Kernes specified that the nearest plans are to install new monument of Independence, maintain full-scale major reconstruction of the city and the repairing of dwelling-house and noncentral roads.
