First bell rang for the pupils of Kharkiv

The first bell rang on September, 1 in schools and gymnasiums of Kharkiv city.

Kharkiv city mayor Gennadiy Kernes visited festive event at schools, educational complexes, gymnasium and special-purpose schools.

Along with the deputies the mayor took part in the opening of two school stadiums. As a present the first graders received school record books from Gennadiy Kernes.

Besides, on the 1st of September all the schools of the city received complete sets of balls for football, volleyball, and basketball. All in all it is 1800 balls.

After the festive event, pupils had a first lesson. It was dedicated to the topic «Healthy child – healthy nation».

We note that almost 101 thousand pupils went to secondary educational institutions. There are 11 thousand 183 first graders among them.
