British experts highly appreciated the operation of Kharkiv animal shelter

 

We remind that on October, 16 and 17 International workshop in humane and efficient control of stray animals population was held. British organization «Naturewatch» organized the event. The workshop was given by leading international expert Brian Faulkner.

 

As the part of the workshop the experts got acquainted with the work of Kharkiv shelter. The methods of premises anteseptis, the principles of treatment and quarantine of the animals were approved. British experts have also highly estimated the educational work with Kharkiv citizens, the registration method and the search of new masters for pets.

 

Besides, English experts liked the idea of marking the rooms and pounds with parti-coloured ribbons that inform about the health condition of the animal, neutering and if the pet has prospective owner.

 

British experts emphasized that the conditions of keeping animals in the shelter and also the methods employed for the problem of stray animals correspond the humane treatment recommendation of the leading organization.
