Animal shelter will be expanded

 

Roman Nehoroshkov, the director of housing services Department informed about it on June, 5.
 

He marked that building works are held on the territories of utility services places. It is planned to built the place for autos, checkpoint, premises for veterinaries and a number of housekeeping area.

Besides, the shelter will be expanded. The works will start in 2013. According to the words of Roman Nehoroshkov the Department of housing services has already applied to The Department of Urban Planning with the request to give 0,5 hectare of the territory for the shelter. It is planned to build one quarantine box and two buildings with the heating system for dogs and cats.

Due to the second stage of the shelter it will be able to hold up to 7200 animals each year additionally. Now it is able to hold about 16 thousand animals each year. There are 4 boxes with  pounds for 500 dogs and a  round pound for 70 pets. Toady 150 dogs and 40 cats live in the shelter. The city services anf the citizens bring them to the shelter.
 

Besides, there are registry and tracking departments in the administration building.
