A meeting of the twin cities of Russia and Ukraine in Kharkiv

About 70 representatives of the bodies of Local governments of more than 40 cities of Russia and Ukraine took part in the meeting. Ukrainian cities were represented by 17 mayors, secretaries of the city councils, representatives of departments and business structures. Russian cities were represented by 23 mayors, their deputies, advisors, heads of departments of the city administrations, directors of big industry and business structures.
The deputies of the mayor of Kharkiv Igor Terekhov and Sergey Kadygrob, director of the department on the issues of preparing to EURO-2012 of Kharkiv city council Natalia Miroshichenko, director of the department of transport and telecom Sergey Dulfan, specialists of Department of International Connections, the Consul General of Russia in Kharkiv Vsevolod Philipp also took part in the forum.

There were discussed the state and perspectives of development of twin relations between the cities of Russia and Ukraine at the forum. There were experience exchange, development of connections in economics, municipal economy, energy saving, transport, sport, tourism and other areas discussed at the forum.
The signing of agreements o ftwin relations between the cities of Ukraine and Russia and partner relations between Kharkiv CE “Center of Development of International Connections” and Russian International academy of Tourism (Moskva) were planned.

In the evening there was a tour around the city with visiting “Metallist” stadium organized for the guests of the city.
