Kharkiv received trams from the Czech Republic

The twin city of Brno (Czech Republic) has handed over six tramcars to Kharkiv.

According to Volodymyr Matyas, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction and Road Facilities, this model of electric transport is already in operation in Kharkiv.

«The cars will need to be adapted to our track, and this will take some time. We plan to operate them, including on the line near Khartsyzsk Pipe, which was not in operation during the war, and its restoration is scheduled for 2025», - said Vladimir Matyas.

In addition, according to him, on the initiative of Mayor Igor Terekhov, negotiations are also underway with representatives of the city of Brno to provide Kharkiv with trolleybuses.
