Regional Centre for Treatment of Prisoners of War works in Kharkiv
53 soldiers whose family members applied for help to the Eastern Regional Centre of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War were released in 2023.
The centre has been operating in Kharkiv since 23 December 2022. During this time, its specialists have provided more than 6.7 thousand consultations (1.2 thousand in person and 5.5 thousand by phone), and held 15 on-site meetings in the communities of Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy and Dnipro regions.
The Eastern Regional Centre provides information on legal and procedural issues related to the stay of a person in captivity, advice on state social obligations guaranteed in case of captivity, and psychological support.
