Igor Terekhov takes part in a prayer service for Ukraine

Today, on 24 February, Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov took part in a prayer service dedicated to the National Day of Prayer and on the occasion of the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which was held in the Church of St John the Theologian.

According to the mayor, this day is a reminder of the price of freedom, the courage of the defenders and the resilience of the Ukrainian people. According to him, a common prayer unites people in their belief in the peaceful future of the country.

‘Today we are all praying for Ukraine, for the fallen and for those soldiers who are now defending their homeland. We thank our Armed Forces and God for the fact that Kharkiv has survived and continues to live despite all the challenges. It has been a very difficult three years, but we have united and become even stronger,’ said Igor Terekhov.

The mayor, representatives of the clergy and regional authorities also laid flowers at the memorial stele with the names of the fallen soldiers on the church's territory.
