A friendly boxing tournament for the Mayor's Cup of sister cities Kharkiv and Poznań took place on February 24 in Poland.

The competition was inaugurated by the Mayor of the Polish City, Jacek Jaskóviak. He expressed words of support for the Ukrainian people and, specifically, for Kharkiv as a sister City.

The Kharkiv team, consisting of boys born from 2009 to 2012 in twelve weight categories, won the most victorious fights and secured the main trophy of the competition – the Mayors’ Cup. However, the Kharkiv team decided to leave the prize in Poland. In doing so, the young athletes demonstrated their respect and gratitude to the poles for their warm welcome.

The tournament took place under the patronage of the Mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov.
