The interuniversity scientific and technical platform was presented in Kharkiv
The presentation of the Сity interuniversity scientific and technical platform "Kharkiv PROFI Centre" took place in the shelter of the Municipal Enterprise "Kharkiv heating networks".
The event was attended by the Director of the Department of Education Olha Demenko, Rector of the Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy Denys Kovalenko, teachers and students of the university, employees of the enterprise.
The idea to create a safe area for practical training of students of technical specialties appeared three weeks ago during the meeting of the Mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov with the staff of the Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy (UEPA). The management of the Municipal Enterprise "Kharkiv heating networks" supported the idea and provided a certified shelter for the project implementation, which is planned to be equipped with the necessary equipment by mid-January.
As Olha Demenko noted, the creation of such a platform will help overcome the obstacles that vocational education has been struggling with since the pandemic. In particular, young specialists will get real work experience in production, will master modern equipment, and after training will be able to get a job at the enterprises of critical infrastructure.
All Kharkiv technical universities can join the project.
