Today, on 17 December, Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets inspected the work of training facilities in the Kharkiv metro.

First Deputy Mayor Oleksandr Novak and Director of the Department of Education Olga Demenko spoke about the implementation of the educational project and the overall adaptation of Kharkiv to wartime conditions.

According to Oleksandr Novak, the metro school provides children with everything they need to study.

«There is a psychologist and a medical worker here. The children receive proper nutrition, and each class has a teacher and a tutor», - said Alexander Novak.

In turn, Dmytro Lubinets noted that such a project is unique for Ukraine.

«This is a great example of how, even in times of war, local authorities find ways to continue offline education for children while preserving their right to education. We see that the students are satisfied, and this should be an additional impetus for international partners to help build similar schools in the areas where there is active bombing by Russia», - said Dmytro Lubinets.
