Igor Terekhov told what the school year will be like for Kharkiv schoolchildren

Classes at six metro stations and in the underground school will start on Monday, 2 September, in Kharkiv.

This was announced to journalists by Mayor Igor Terekhov.

According to him, this year 5,800 children will study in a combined mode. In total, 102,000 children will start studying in city schools, 53,000 of whom are physically located in Kharkiv.

The mayor noted that by the end of autumn the number of children attending classes offline will increase.

«We are currently building three underground schools in Shevchenkivskyi, Osnovianskyi and Novobavarskyi districts at the expense of the city budget. I hope that by the end of autumn they will be put into operation and children will sit down at their desks», - the mayor said.
