Ihor Terekhov congratulated Karazin University on the 218th anniversary of its foundation
A solemn meeting of the Academic Council of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University on the occasion of the 218th anniversary of its opening was held today, January 30.
The event was attended by representatives of the City and regional authorities, members of the University’s Supervisory Board, the university staff, and others.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov congratulated Karazin University on the anniversary of its foundation. He emphasized that the past year was one of the most difficult for the university but despite the terrible challenges, rocket attacks and significant destruction, the university remains the flagship of higher education in Ukraine.
‘Karazin University glorifies Kharkiv far beyond its borders. We are sincerely proud of the successes of our graduates and students, we thank our teachers for their contribution to the education of true patriots of the state and bow our heads to everyone who was educated by this university, who is defending our City and the whole of Ukraine from russian armed aggression at the frontline and working for victory in the rear. I am confident that soon we will work together to rebuild the university and bring students back to their native Karazin University,’ Ihor Terekhov said in his welcoming speech.
The best employees of the university were awarded with the Mayor’s letters of appreciation.
