Igor Terekhov awarded the best pupils and students
A solemn ceremony of awarding the Presidential Scholarship holders and the Kharkiv Mayor's Scholarship ‘Giftedness’ took place today, 9 December, in Kharkiv.
The most talented schoolchildren and young scientists were presented with certificates of appreciation and laptops by Mayor Igor Terekhov.
The mayor expressed his admiration and support for the scholarship winners. He stressed that such young people are the future of the city and the whole country.
«Kharkiv is a city of intellect. And today, when we are living in a time of war, under shelling and anxiety, I am extremely proud of you. You stay here, work and study. You are our pride, our minds and our future. The enormous potential you have is what makes Kharkiv different from other cities. Your achievements in education, science, creativity and sports prove that the spirit of Kharkiv is in you!» - the mayor said.
According to the results of the 2023-2024 academic year, 27 schoolchildren became scholarship holders of the President of Ukraine, and 140 pupils and students received the Mayor's Giftedness scholarship. Among them are the winners of international and all-Ukrainian Olympiads, scientific competitions, tournaments of the Minor Academy of Sciences, creative festivals and sports competitions.
