Young footballers from Kharkiv undergo sports rehabilitation in Lithuania

Children of Ukraine's defenders, fallen servicemen, ATO veterans, police officers, border guards and the State Emergency Service who play football in Kharkiv are undergoing sports rehabilitation in Lithuania.

Kharkiv residents attend professional training sessions at the Academy of the Spanish football club Barcelona.

Recently, the mayor of the Lithuanian city of Klaipeda, Arvydas Vaitkus, visited them. He expressed his support for the young footballers and Kharkiv, where he received his law degree. Representatives of the Department for Family, Youth and Sports presented Arvydas Vaitkus with a book about Kharkiv as a souvenir of the meeting.

"We are grateful to the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Lithuania in Kharkiv and the charity organisation Strong Together for their social initiative and assistance in organising the rehabilitation and health improvement of the children of our defenders," the department said.
