The French government is ready to provide assistance to Kharkiv

Today, on June 12, Mayor Igor Terekhov held a meeting on providing assistance to Kharkiv with the French President's Special Representative for Relief and Reconstruction of Ukraine, Pierre Heilbrunn, and other representatives of the French government.

The parties discussed the needs of the city, in particular, the decentralization of water, heat and power supply systems to ensure a sustainable heating season. They agreed to agree on a list of necessary equipment that the French companies will be able to provide to Kharkiv.

Igor Terekhov said that due to the absence of thermal power plants and transformer substations that were destroyed by the enemy, cogeneration units need to be installed in different parts of the city.

«Today, we do not have a single kilowatt of our own power generation, so we need to concentrate all resources to implement this project. To do this, we need equipment, and there is little time to supply it, so we must make all decisions with our partners immediately», - the mayor emphasized.

For his part, Pierre Heilbronn said that the French government is ready to make every effort to help Ukrainian cities at all levels. He also noted that French companies are actively working on the production of drones of various flight ranges, as well as introducing artificial intelligence in military affairs to support Ukraine in the war against the Russian aggressor.
