On February 16, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov took part in an online meeting with representatives of the «Western NIS Enterprise Fund» (WNISEF) in Ukraine and the Ukrainian Leadership Academy.

The parties discussed opportunities for cooperation in the reconstruction of Kharkiv.

Igor Terekhov noted that the city is ready to provide the necessary support for the implementation of projects to restore housing and infrastructure in Kharkiv. He also noted that more than half of all educational institutions in the city were affected.

«We will provide the necessary documentation to participate in grant programs and facilitate the further implementation of projects. There is a lot of reconstruction work in Kharkiv, as our city is constantly suffering from Russian shelling. These can be universities, schools, or kindergartens. Moreover, we already have experience in implementing joint projects. I remember how we built a leadership academy in Kharkiv together before the war», - the mayor said.

For reference. «The Western NIS Enterprise Fund» (WNISEF) is the first regional private equity fund in Ukraine and Moldova with a capital of $285 million. It was established by the United States Government through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
