Young Kharkiv athletes went to training camp in Lille

A group of 50 Kharkiv athletes aged 6 to 13 is currently attending a training camp in Lille (France).
The group includes children who play football, rhythmic gymnastics, and judo. They are accompanied by coaches and representatives of the Department of Family, Youth and Sports, as well as the International Cooperation Department.
As part of the trip, the Kharkiv team was received by the Mayor of Lille, Martin Aubry, with representatives of the relevant services of the city hall, sports clubs, etc.
Martin Aubry noted her readiness to further develop cooperation between the twin cities. She also presented Mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov with a commemorative medal from the city of Lille.
In her turn, Victoria Usmentseva, Deputy Director of the Department of Family, Youth and Sports, presented Martin Aubry with a Certificate of Honour from the Kharkiv City Council for her support and assistance, in particular, to Kharkiv residents during the war.
The programme of the training camp in Lille includes training of Kharkiv children with their French peers, visits to sports facilities, sightseeing tours of the region, etc. The events in France will last until 28 April.
