International partners will provide comprehensive assistance to Kharkiv

Kharkiv has held a series of talks and signed agreements with international partners that will help the city, in particular, with the heating season.
As Mayor Ihor Terekhov said today, June 16, on the air of a national telethon, the meetings took place as part of a working trip to Berlin. Recently, an international conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine and Kharkiv in particular was held there.
«We held talks with representatives of the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and German government organizations. Within the framework of the forum, we signed agreements on supplying cogeneration units to Kharkiv that will help us get through the heating season. Thus, the EBRD will provide a EUR 25 million loan to Kharkiv to ensure the city's energy sustainability. In addition, the World Bank will provide a grant of EUR 47 million without the need for repayment to purchase the necessary equipment», - the mayor said.
Igor Terekhov also noted that all relevant services are continuously working to create conditions for a sustainable heating season.
«We are using all the opportunities and appealing to international partners to decentralize heat, power and water supply systems in Kharkiv. We hope that this heating season will be no worse than the last one», - emphasized the mayor.
