Igor Terekhov met with a representative of the Lutheran World Federation

Igor Terekhov thanked for the comprehensive assistance provided by the organisation to Kharkiv residents and expressed hope for continued cooperation. 

‘Today people really need support. First of all, psychological and moral support. It is very important that people feel that they are not abandoned. But every arrival means stress, destruction and broken windows. We have rains and the heating season ahead of us, so it is very important to fix all this in time. There is an urgent need for such assistance,’ the mayor said. 

In turn, Sotmari Barnabas stressed the importance of continuing the work of the Lutheran World Federation in Kharkiv. 

‘We have the full support of our leadership in Geneva for Kharkiv. We understand that our assistance is limited, but we see the need for further support. We will stay here because people need our help,’ Sotmari Barnabas emphasised.
