Igor Terekhov took part in an international conference

Igor Terekhov noted that during the war, Kharkiv has significantly strengthened cooperation with both Ukrainian cities and international partners. This cooperation covers various areas, from sharing experience in restoring critical infrastructure and housing to providing humanitarian aid.

‘Another area with great potential for cooperation is energy. Since the end of March, Kharkiv has completely lost its own power generation capacity, so we are now actively working on the construction of a decentralised heat, water and power supply system alongside the main one. Its implementation will allow the city to become more energy independent. We have already received €47 million in grants from the World Bank and a €25 million loan from the EBRD to help us prepare for the winter. In addition, our partners have donated cogeneration equipment. This is a good illustration of the global support for Kharkiv,’ said Igor Terekhov.
