Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov, who is taking part in a conference on Ukraine's recovery, has enlisted the support of international partners.

On the air of the national telethon today, June 11, the mayor spoke about the results of the first day of the Ukraine Recovery Conference, which is taking place in Berlin. In particular, he noted that much attention was paid to the protection of the skies over Kharkiv.

“Together with our international partners, we are actively working to get the most modern air defense systems and close the sky over the city. This is our main task,” emphasized Igor Terekhov.
In addition, the mayor signed several agreements important for preparing for the heating season. In particular, agreements were reached on the transfer of cogeneration units to Kharkiv from the governments of Germany and the Czech Republic.

“In addition, Kharkiv will receive a EUR 47 million grant from the World Bank, which will be used in full to purchase cogeneration equipment for the sustainable heating season. A loan agreement was also signed with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for EUR 25 million. These funds will be allocated to the energy sector to decentralize heating and electricity supply systems,” said Igor Terekhov.
