Ihor Terekhov held negotiations with the Ambassador of Estonia

Today, 22 April, Mayor Ihor Terekhov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia to Ukraine Anneli Kolk.
The parties discussed the current needs of the city in restoring heat and power supply, the need for modern air defense systems and funding for the restoration of residential buildings damaged by shelling.
The Mayor thanked Anneli Kolk for Estonia's support of Ukraine. He emphasised the importance of working to strengthen the protection of the skies over Kharkiv and restore damaged infrastructure and housing.
"We need to restore the energy and heating sectors before the start of the next heating season. We already know exactly where we have new equipment ready to go. But there is not enough time to do it all. And, of course, the priority is to strengthen air defense, because otherwise everything we do will be attacked again," said Ihor Terekhov.
In turn, Anneli Kolk noted that Estonia provides the largest humanitarian and military assistance to Ukraine in relation to GDP and assured that her country would continue this support in the future.
"Kharkiv is the frontline. We see everything you are doing to keep the city alive. And we understand Ukraine very well, because we also share a common border with this neighbour, because we have also experienced the history of occupation and the struggle for independence. The purpose of our visit is to hear about your specific needs in all areas in order to defend your position in the East and West with our partners," said Anneli Kolk.
