Igor Terekhov held talks with the Chairman of the Bundestag Defense Committee

Ihor Terekhov noted that Kharkiv is grateful to the German government for its military, political and financial support and looks forward to further assistance, in particular, in providing the most modern air defense systems. According to the mayor, this will affect not only how Kharkiv will survive the winter, but also life in the city as a whole. 

In his turn, Markus Faber noted that the German government is developing an action plan to support Ukraine with air defense equipment. According to him, it is about the transfer of Patriot, IRIS-T and Skyranger systems. He also noted that the economic development of Kharkiv is important for German partners. 

Igor Terekhov emphasized that the city pays special attention to this issue. In particular, the basis of the General Plan of Kharkiv, which is being developed with the funds of the German government, is the creation of an economic model for the city's development. According to preliminary estimates, at least 2 million people will live in Kharkiv after the election. 

"Kharkiv is a student and research city with a strong manufacturing industry. It is important for us to preserve this potential. But to do this, we need to close the skies as soon as possible and drive the enemy away from the border. We need weapons, state-of-the-art air defense systems and further political support!" said the head of Kharkiv.
